Congratulations to the Nantucket Lighthouse School, the 2006 Something Natural Non-Profit Day winner.

Customers cast votes during the month of May for 58 different Island non-profits as well as 3 off Island organizations. The Nantucket Lighthouse School edged out A Safe Place, followed closely by our ’03 and ’04 winner Small Friends and our ’05 winner The Maria Mitchell Association. Rounding out the top 11 were the Nantucket New School, Nantucket Conservation Foundation, Nantucket Community Services, The Atheneum, Nantucket Community Sailing, Habitat for Humanity and Our Island Home.

June 8th, all proceeds from the retail sale of baked goods, as well as a percentage of the proceeds from T-shirts will be earmarked for the Lighthouse School. Please mark your calendars, and be sure to visit Something Natural at 50 Cliff Road and help a good cause while buying good things to eat.
